As we look back on the launch of Ruby 2020, Frank, Riki, Michael and Lee, would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to all friends and customers who contributed to the success of the first vintage of Ruby.

Thanks to everyone’s generous support, 7,000 euros was raised from the Ruby sales in 2024. We are currently working together with the Town Hall of Saussignac to fund equipment for the local playground! This truly is what Ruby is all about: giving back to the community. The members of the Ruby Foundation strongly believe that this is the way forward.

Each year, their aim is to fund youngsters’ studies in the sector of viticulture, wine or creative arts. If there are no potential candidates for that year, they will assist in other projects that benefit the youth of their community.

After a very successful launch of Ruby 2020, the second vintage: Ruby 2021 was born. Michael F. Rumsby created a new piece of artwork entitled:

“Peace Hope Wine and Love”, to dress the new Ruby vintage.

2021 was an atypical year in the vines, with late frosts in spring and a cold, wet summer, Riki, Frank and their team made an exceptional wine, despite the meteorologic circumstances! Ruby 2021 is a blend of 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon. A fine red wine, aged 24 months in fine grain blend Oak barrels, to be aged (or drink now if you just can’t wait)!

This year, with the support of the Saussignac Town Hall, our aim is to create more awareness of the Ruby Foundation. We want to reach the attention of the youth of Saussignac and Bergerac who wish to pursue their studies in wine and/or creative arts.
